     The last stop on our International Heartie tour is Australia! The land of kangaroos and Daniel Lissing! Destiny is one of the founders of the Australia Hearties Facebook page and has kindly agreed to answer my questions. Destiny hails from Townsville, Queensland. So let's settle down under and get to know Destiny Thomas!

Pants "How did you find When Calls The Heart?"

Destiny " I bought the original WCTH movie and watched it. Also I checked to see if there was a WCTH page to see if they were making more and found out that they were making a TV series. The series is definitely way better than the movie."

That is awesome that you have been a Heartie from the beginning! The TV series is definitely better! It would be even more amazing with 5 more seasons! Right Hearties?

Pants "Who are your favorite characters?"

Destiny "That's a hard question because I really love all of the characters. They all play their parts to perfection and all have different story lines that unfold beautifully but my favorites will have to be Elizabeth, Abigail, Rosemary, Clara, Faith, Emily, Opal, and Carter and of course there are many more that I could name but I will leave you with those instead "

     The show does have a great line up of strong women! I love that they love their men, but they don't NEED their men to survive. Although, Opal needs Brownie, but that's understandable.  

Pants "Who is your favorite couple?

Destiny " My four favorite couples at the moment are Jack and Elizabeth, Abigail and Frank, Rosemary and Lee, and Clara and Jessie."

     Imagine if we threw them in a blender and out came : 

•  Jack & Clara = Jlara or Clack (Clack kinda sounds like a disease) I think this couple would actually be quite boring (don't hate me!) 
•  Frank & Rosemary = Framary or Rank (again, Rank not a very good choice) This would definitely be an odd couple...one over the top, the other quiet and stoic.
•  Lee & Abigail = Labigail or AbiLee (Labigail sounds like a weird dog mix) This couple would actually be kind of sweet. My favorite of the mash ups.
• Jesse & Elizabeth = Jebeth or Elizesse (Both sound like women of loose morals, and that is definitely NOT our Elizabeth!) This couple is just doomed I think.

Pants "What hobbies do you enjoy?"

Destiny "My hobbies that I enjoy are reading, traveling, and camping."

I just wanted to let you know that I found the Australian version of Elizabeth. Her name is Destiny Thomas. You wouldn't have to disguise your accent anymore!

Pants "If a Heartie had one day in Australia, where should they go?"

Destiny "They should definitely check out The Twelve Apostles. It is really beautiful there."

Being a pair of pants, I had no idea what that was besides the biblical figures that followed Jesus, so here are a couple pictures for you. Very beautiful!

Pants "Besides WCTH, what are your top 3 TV shows?

Destiny " Downton Abbey, Heartland, and Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman."

I love the Ladies of Downton Abbey! Take the best of Lady Rose and the best of Lady Mary and you have Rosemary!

Pants "Is there anything else you would like to share with the Hearties?"

Italy Spotlight- Celeste Ghelfi

     From the UK, we now travel across the channel, back through the continent to Italy where we find Celeste. She is a member of the Hearties UK group and spoke up as one of the few Italian Hearties, so I had to spotlight her!  She lives in a small town on the outskirts of Parma, her own Hope Valley!  So let's dry out from the English rain, grab a gelato and get to know Celeste!

Pants "How did you find When Calls The Heart?"

Celeste "One of my best friends, Katrin, introduced me to it about the same time that Season 2 finished. At first I was a bit reluctant to start as I didn't know if I could commit to watching it, but when I started it I was absolutely hooked and have been ever since! I tell her it's all her fault I'm obsessed, lol!"

Yes, blame it all on poor, innocent Katrin! If it hadn't been for Katrin, yes you may not be obsessed with WCTH, but you also would never have been interviewed by a pair of pants! Perspective is everything my dear!

Pants "Who are your favorite characters?"

Celeste "You know, I really can't decide! Each and every one of the characters is so complex and delightful to watch in their own special way that I can never make up my mind about which one I love best! I'm a Libra, we are known to be quite undecided "

      I wonder if Jack is a Libra...To propose or not to propose...

Pants "Who is your favorite couple?"

Celeste "Ah, this one is as easy as pie.Jack and Elizabeth. They are literally the biggest reason why I watch the show, their relationship means everything to me. But Lee & Rosemary and Frank & Abigail are close seconds! "

We may be tied for second...but it sounds like second place is about a mile behind first! Let's hope Jack is ok after this season and we can have a big Jackabeth Wedding in season 4!

Pants " What hobbies do you enjoy?"

Celeste "Oh, I enjoy so many! I love drawing, writing (stories, poems, & really any other literary form), reading, making jewelry, playing the piano (although I can only play with one hand), making graphics, creating music videos, and really anything creative! I like to keep my mind busy."

     It sounds like you are definitely keeping your mind busy! You definitely have a lot of talents and it is awesome that you are expanding on all of them!

Pants "Besides WCTH, what are your top 3 tv shows?"

Celeste "Ah, this one is easy because other than When Calls the Heart, I only have three top favorite shows! BBC's Merlin because I love the medieval era, Arthurian legend, and fantasy; ABC's Once Upon A Time because no one else has ever put a twist on the classic ending 'and they lived happily ever after' before and because it has so many interesting characters and storylines; ABC's Agent Carter because the late 1940s etiquette and style always appealed to me and because the leading lady is an amazing and badass agent! And of course, all three of these shows (and When Calls the Heart) have the strong feeling of togetherness between all the characters and some fantastic romance!"

  Wizards, Heroes, & Superheroes - sounds like a great mix to me!

Hearties- I have been seeing Once Upon A Time as a favorite show in a few of these spotlights...maybe that is another audience we can target? Their show airs an hour before WCTH, ripe for the pickings!

Pants "If a Heartie had one day in Italy, where should they go?"

Celeste " Hmm, there are so many beautiful places in Italy, but if I had to chose it would be Puglia. The people are so hospitable and hearty, the food is delicious, and Alberobello's little trulli houses are a must-see among many other amazing tourist attractions"

It sounds like heaven!! I hope Lee decides to travel one day...maybe Rosemary will insist on it! Maybe I can add it to one of her lists

Celeste "I love all you guys so much! I am so elated with how far all of you will go to get our show the love and recognition it deserves and I couldn't be happier to be a #Heartie alongside all of you! I have never been a part of a more dedicated, welcoming, and amazing fanbase than the Hearties fanbase. I'm also really excited to read your interview with Claire Morgan, she's a fantastic lady and an amazing admin on the #HeartiesUK group! "

UK Heartie Spotlight- Claire Morgan

      International Heartie week is packing it's bag and moving from Germany to the UK! Claire Morgan resides in Cleveland, County Durham.  In this country village resides the creator of the Hearties UK facebook page.  So, let's unpack our bags, get comfy in UK's Cleveland & get to know Claire!

Pants "How did you find When Calls The Heart?"

Claire " I found When Calls The Heart one afternoon while flicking through the TV channels one afternoon in October of last year while trying to find something to watch. I was instantly gripped and have been a huge fan of the show ever since."

I love when fate happens! Flicking through the right channel at the right time and BOOM...a Heartie is born!

Pants "What are your favorite characters in the show?"

Claire "My favourite characters are Jack & Elizabeth, Gowen, Emily and the wonderful Lee Coulter."

I see you like the sugar and the spice with Emily and Gowen!

Pants "Who is your favorite couple?"

Claire " My favourite couple besides the obvious (Jack & Elizabeth) would be Rosemary & Lee as they're perfect for each other and they're also so funny together. "

No argument here! Both are solid entertaining couples, but different from eachother. One of the great aspects of the show is we are constantly seeing different relationships and the triumphs and struggles in them!

Pants "What hobbies do you enjoy?"

Claire " I'm a Scout leader so most of my hobbies are connected to Scouting, I'm a Section Assistant with my local group and I enjoy camping, hiking and being outdoors. Scouting gives kids the opportunity to take part in activities that they wouldn't normally get to do which I think is absolutely brilliant."

That is wonderful Claire! You would fit right in in Hope Valley!

Pants " Besides WCTH, what are your top 3 tv shows?"

Claire "Besides WCTH my current top 3 shows would be; Mission Survive with Bear Grylls, The island again with Bear Grylls. I can't think of a 3rd but basically I love watching anything connected to the outdoors as I'm slightly obsessed with outdoor and adventure shows "

So, in a perfect world, Bear Gryllis would come to live in Hope Valley! A new Mountie perhaps to help Jack with the ever-growing town? Or maybe just an adventurer who has come to settle in the Valley!

Pants "If a Heartie came to visit you for one day, where would you take them?"

Claire "I would take a fellow Heartie into Durham which is a truly beautiful historic market town with stunning architecture. Durham is famous for its cathedral, castle and cobbled streets. There's lots of little quirky shops, coffee bars, cake shops and traditional cafe's"

Sounds like an absolute perfect day to me! Rosemary would have so much fun with a castle!

Pants "Is there anything else you would like to share with the Hearties?"

Claire " I would like to let Hearties know, especially fans in the US that UK fans absolutely adore WCTH even though we don't have it aired in the UK. There may not be as many UK fans as there is in the US however both myself and all of the other UK Hearties in the UK group can say without any doubt if WCTH was aired on a prime time TV channel in the UK the show would be a huge success "

Absolutely! That's why we need to email the tv stations Hearties! Brian Bird recently posted about this in the Fan group. If you want to know who to tweet or email, just visit the Hearties UK group and they will let you know. The tv stations won't show it if they don't know about it! Let's Rule the World Hearties!

German Heartie Spotlight- Caroline Ickes

     I am declaring it International Hearties Week! All of my spotlights will be with International Hearties and first on my list is German Heartie Caroline! Caroline lives a double life in Germany, living in Esson during the week and spending the rest of the time in Seligenstadt where her family and friends also live.  She was very kind to answer my questions, so let's get on with it and learn more about Caroline!

Pants" How did you find When Calls The Heart?"

Caroline"Amazon Prime recommended it to me, based on my current watch list at the beginning of January this year. It was a Sunday evening and it set me on fire when Jack made his first entrance 😅"

     You are not alone Caroline. Many a Heartie was set on fire when that handsome Mountie rode in on his horse.  Not to mention the lovely Ms. Thatcher, although she hated to admit it at first!  

Pants "What are your favorite characters?"

Caroline "That's a tough one. I think every character is special in it's own way. Of course I fell in love with Jack, Elisabeth and Abigail. But over Season 2&3 Rosemary and Lee grew to my heart as well"

     Rosemary and Lee tend to do that to people, in the best way, like a loving high maintenance Poodle and a loyal Scotty dog in a plaid sweater.

Pants "Who is your favorite couple on WCTH?"

Caroline "Jack and Elisabeth for sure... I thought about it a lot and I wish I had figured out a very surprising unique answer. But it is what it is Jack and Lizzy."

     No problem with your answer! Now, if you had gone with Lee & Molly , THAT would've been surprising and unique! They were very cute together, even if they were faking it! Her dresses are so nice and friendly! Not bossy...not that Rosemary's dresses are bossy...no they are wonderful! I'm still a little unsure about sharing a wardrobe with them though...

Pants "What hobbies do you enjoy?"

Caroline "Since I travel a lot between both my "homes" I enjoy reading and audio-books very much. I love spending time with my loved ones - cooking and having dinner together. I'm very interested in taking photos and my latest hobby is getting in shape for the next JPMorgan Corporate Chase run in Frankfurt, which is 5.6 km "

     Anyone else tired? I applaud you for attempting a marathon. Anything farther than the office to the Saloon is a marathon to me! I am very happy that I am not running shorts, sweat is gross! I like a desk job.

Pants "Besides WCTH, what are your top 3 tv shows?"

Caroline "I'm a BIG Fan of Downton Abbey, Sherlock (with Benedict Cumberbatch) and I also like things like House of Cards, or Once Upon a Time... A pretty crazy mix "

     Definitely crazy since it includes Sherlock, Mad Hatter, Cora, Rumple and Gowen. Can you imagine that show mashup? Gowen & Gold- partners! I'm sure Richard Manning could do something amazing with that! Team FloMoDo & the Charmings working together to save the world!

Pants "If a Heartie traveled to Germany, and only had 3 days, where should they go?"

Caroline ": First you should come to Frankfurt (close to my hometown). It is also called "Mainhatten" because of the skyline... So if you are in Frankfurt, you should go to a part of the city called "Sachsenhausen" and taste some traditional Frankfurt food called "Handkäs' mit Musik" and "Äbbelwoi"

     Second day... I would suggest Hamburg. Take a walk at the "Landungsbrücken" on the harbor of Hamburg... Amazing! I love that city.

And third? A place that I love since I was a child, is Schloss Neuschwanstein. But I guess the castle of Ludwig II of Bavaria is well known. You get the best view of the castle when you stand on the "Marienbrücke".. a bit of a hike but the best view ever!"

      Sounds beautiful Caroline! Maybe Lee will take me there one day! Rosemary would love to see a castle! Probably move us in the next week!

Pants "How do the German Hearties watch the current season?"

Caroline "There is a small group of us watching Season 3 online. It all started with me, meeting another Heartie in Wiesbaden to share the latest episode on my computer - since she had no access to it... It is more fun to watch and discuss together than watch it on your own. And after that, we talked to some other hearties who watched it online as well. So now we have a "meeting" every Monday, 7 p.m. German time. So actually everybody is sitting at their home with laptop and smartphone and we start on a short countdown like that.. "everybody ready? yes, lets do it in three, two, one.." and everyone pushes the start button and the fun begins. We chat about it on facebook chat during we watch it online. it is a funny mix between german and english. And is so great to talk about it while watching... I guess it is a bit like you tweeting with the hearties on Sunday night I suppose?!

     It does sound like our tweeting sessions, only more intimate and probably easier to follow. Twitter tornado Sundays are pretty crazy! I love that you have come together and found a way to watch the current season! True Hearties! 

Pants " Is there anything else you would like to share with the Hearties?"
Caroline ": I, speaking for the HeariesofGermany, love to share our Group. Everybody is very welcome to us and we love to share the German way of loving the show"
